Nathan was arrested for knowingly importing nandrolone, and testosterones. He was released on bail and scheduled to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court on May 21. Samples of Johnson’s urine were tested for drugs right after the 100m final three days ago which he won in world record time of 9.79 seconds. After Olympic officials confirmed that anabolic steroids were detected the sprinter was woken and got the news he was going to be sent home. Johnson is trying to appeal theInternational Olympics Committee’s verdict. But the IOC has already said the athlete's intended defense that an herbal drink he consumed before the race had been drugged will not be accepted.
